ERLINGUR THORODDSEN
Outfest Artistic Achievement Award winner and Edda Award nominated filmmaker Erlingur Thoroddsen, writer of the Blumhouse slasher Midnight Kiss, broke out with the supernatural love story Rift, which premiered as the closing film at Gothenburg, screened at SXSW, Fantastic Fest, and Sitges, and was shortlisted as Iceland’s Oscar submission. His recent thriller Kuldi became one of the year’s top grossing Nordic films, earning 6 Edda Award nominations. Thoroddsen returned to Screamfest, where he previously won the Launchpad Award for The Banishing, to world premiere The Piper, a horror take on the Pied Piper folktale.
