andrés beltrán

Recognized for his signature blue and amber color palette, Colombian filmmaker Andrés Beltrán moves between psychological horror and explosive action, building visually striking genre worlds. Drawing on Latin American folklore, his newest horror feature Anima, winner of the screenplay competition at Sitges, stars Odette Annable and Tony Revolori. Beltrán first gained international recognition with the supernatural thriller Tarumama (Llanto Maldito), which earned a Special Mention for Screenplay at Sitges Pitchbox, premiered at Grimmfest, and was later acquired by HBO out of Sitges. For propulsive series like Wild District on Netflix and MalaYerba on Starz, Andrés shifts gears to embrace a kinetic, guerrilla style action driven by momentum and visceral energy, while once again utilizing a landscape of bold and vibrant color.
